Find a lunar birthday
Many Korean and Chinese families celebrate birthdays and memorial days by the lunar calendar, so the solar date moves every year. Choose “Lunar → Solar”, enter the lunar year, month and day, and you'll get the solar date plus a table of the next 10 years to put in your calendar.
If the birthday is on the 30th but that month only has 29 days in a given year, people usually celebrate on the 29th. The table marks those years.
What is a leap month?
A lunar year is about 354 days, 11 days shorter than a solar year. To keep the months in step with the seasons, a month is repeated roughly every three years. In 2025, for example, a leap 6th month followed the 6th month. Tick “Leap month” if the date falls in one.

FAQ
Why is it one day off from a Chinese calendar?
The Chinese calendar starts each month by Beijing time and the Korean calendar by Korea time (one hour ahead), so a new moon close to midnight can land on different days. This tool follows the Korean calendar published by the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute.
When does the zodiac year change?
Here the zodiac animal changes on Lunar New Year. Some traditions use Lichun (around February 4) instead, so January and February birthdays may differ.
Which years are supported?
From January 31, 1900 (lunar 1/1/1900) to the end of 2050.
