QR Code Generator

Create QR codes for links, text, Wi-Fi and contacts, then download PNG or SVG. They never expire.

QR codes that never expire

Many QR sites make “dynamic” codes that send scans through their own servers. When the free trial ends or the service shuts down, every code you've printed stops working. This tool makes static QR codes: your link is stored inside the code itself, so it keeps working forever.

Wi-Fi QR codes

Choose “Wi-Fi”, enter the network name and password, and guests can join just by pointing their phone camera at the code. Handy for cafés, offices and rentals. Type the name and password exactly, including upper and lower case.

Contact QR codes

“Contact” creates a vCard QR code. Scanning it offers to add you to the phone's contacts, which makes it great for business cards and event badges.

Printing tips

  • Size: at least 2 cm (0.8 in) for business cards and flyers. For posters, make the code about a tenth of the scanning distance.
  • Color: use a dark code on a light background. Inverted or pale codes fail on some phones.
  • Margin: keep the white border (four modules wide) around the code.
  • Error correction: higher levels survive dirt or a logo on top but make the pattern denser. Medium is fine for most uses; pick High if you'll place a logo.
  • For print: use SVG, which scales to any size without blurring.

FAQ

Can I use these QR codes commercially?

Yes, on flyers, packaging, menus or anywhere else. “QR Code” is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE, but the standard itself is free for anyone to use.

Can I track scans?

Not with a static code, since scans don't pass through any server. Add UTM parameters to your link and count visits in your web analytics instead.

Is my Wi-Fi password or contact info sent anywhere?

No. Codes are generated in your browser and nothing you type leaves your device.
